Sony quality is a few notches up from Samsung quality. There's a reason Sony had Steve Job's admiration. ;)

I really want to listen to the Walkman music software that comes with the Z2!! Combined with the quality earbuds you get free with the Z2, it should be a treat.

Oh, and the earbuds will cost you R700 in a shop.

I can not deny that Sony prides themselves on quality and produces results in the quality department - and I never will (same goes for the iPhones). They do make very good quality products.

Before I bought the N5, I held the S4, G2 and the latest Sony (can not remember model name) in my hands and of all of them, it felt the worst in my hands. It is a very personal thing, but to me a cellphone must feel great in my hands and to be honest, I doubt that any phone will feel better in my hands than the S2 with the extended battery.

Something I did not mention earlier, is that us flashjunkies want to tinker with our phones. And the support for Sony is far below what you can find for the likes of Samsung. It must be said though, that with Samsung's knox counter, this does become limited because you would need it to be 0x0 for warranty purposes.

We all love great sound from a device holding music we enjoy and I fully agree with you on that point, but for me the earbuds and the app just does not carry enough weight to get the Sony. As far as the walkman thing is concerned, I am extremely happy with Poweramp and my set of Panasonic earbuds. The Sony Walkman music software is just another interface and if you really want it, you can get someone to port it and install it on your phone. In fact, I would go so fr as to say that you cn get exactly the same results even on our S2's than you can with the Z2
 
Not that I expected much, but still- disappointing. Nothing innovative about it at all, and even the iterative upgrades are more to do with a cluster of gimmicky features.

I'll stick to Nexus, thanks.

MKBHD's take on the S5. For those unable to watch at work or wherever, he basically calls the S5 a S4s. Slightly beefed CPU, slightly beefed battery, slightly beefed camera.

I love the new skinned kitkat os, however im not a fan of that magazine being a swipe left to right. In stock KitKat that same motion pulls up google now which is infinitely more beneficial to me. Now i have to be forced to read your horrid magazines samsung :(.

I was torn between the S5 and Note 3. Special came out for a brand new Note 3 32gig LTE for R399 pm. I took it, no regrets whatsoever. Love this phone, the screen size is amazing!

Well, now we all know for sure that the Note series is Samsung's premium flagship phones.

The Galaxy S series phones are for people who are scared of a stylus. :p

Hahah, yeah yeah when you see someone holding it to their heads you are like errr what. Wait till you actually hold the phone in your hand and put on that HD movie on and realize how amazing the screen size is!

I was using my SIII this morning and it honestly felt like the SIII Mini compared to the Note 3.

I think the same when I see people holding small phones to their ears....it doesn't even come close to their mouths & looks funny!

My Note 2 is exactly the distance between my ear and my mouth. Just a perfect fit. ;)

It won't. There's not much upgrade to be had here from the Note3. It's hard to determine whether it will even be that much faster, given that it looks to be running on an overclocked Snapdragon 800.

You will be sorely disappointed - the Note 3 is in a different league than the Galaxy S.

Rather wait for the Note 4 and get a new Sony Xperia Z2 tablet to scratch the itch. :)
