They dont really know what to do, I was at the shop in Norwood, but dont think they understand whats going on, they keep checking coverage even though I keep telling them that my wifes phone picks up 4G when she is sitting next to me

Didnt read the entire thread for your LTE thing, but is your sim LTE active, i had to phone in and get them to activate the service.

Of course you know that you'll finally get LTE, then use your data bundle in half an hour then switch it back to 3G anyway :D

I have LTE, and switched it to 3G. Not because of data bundle, but because of that silly delay that happens to the person calling you, where it rings in their ear, and not on your phone yet, because LTE networks don't carry voice, they have to first basically convert your call to a voip call.

Yeah I changed mine as well, don't live in an lte area anyway. Did you also change the APN to internet or just leave it at lte.vodacom.za?

It just bugs me that it is LTE capable and not working! According to the guys in the shop my sim is LTE enabled. I specifically asked as when I got my wifes phone a supervisor had to show the guy that you have to enable the sim for LTE somewhere on their system. Had a chat with 3 other guys in my office with S5 and not one of them have ever seen 4g only H+. They were on Vodacom,Cell C and MTN

Call in and ask them to activate LTE on your account. You can have an LTE sim and it wont magically put you on LTE network. I see 4g on my phone right now.

I had the same problem. My LTE shows as activated on MTN services but I could only get H+. I had to call it the call centre to get them to deactivate and reactivate LTE services as the original activation failed.

Is it just me but I find my S3 was so much smoother than my s5.

Playing games like PVZ2 and candy crush (kids) the response times are so slow when the game loads or when using the back button to exit a level or totally exit the game. Also the screen lags a bit when trying to place plants for example in PVZ2 or simply swiping the screen to answer a call.

An another annoying issue, even if I have the volume turned off or the phone set to vibrate the sound somehow automatically turns on to about quarter volume.

It's such a pity my S3 broke :(

Anyway is it just me or am I missing some settings or does Samsung need to optimise these 8 cores????

That is not normal. I would take it back.
