Samsung Galaxy S7

My word the HTC U Ultra reviews are all awful, every single review I have watched says it's a no-no. Flossy Carter even said HTC can eat a D with this one it's a no. Going by what they are all saying, it's quite simply too expensive for what it brings Vs. competition.

But yeah... Not 1 positive review. LG G6 there's a winner. Or wait and see what the S8 holds tomorrow.

Morning guys. Moving from S6 to S7 today. Really want the S8 but I fear initial prices will be too high.

Could anyone point me to the latest unbranded nougat ROM? I believe the phone already has nougat but it is vodacom branded.
 
Can I just reiterate how awesome Always On Display is.

What a useful feature especially the way it's been implemented with the Double-tap functions.

I've been handling a lot of emails on my phone this week between the company I am leaving and the company I'm starting at next week, and all the admin that comes with moving RAs, Medical Aid etc etc... And I have truly come to appreciate being able to Double-tap the email notifications in the AOD and go straight into the email, makes things so much easier.

Had my s7 for a few hours now and this feature is amazing! Stops one from switching on the phone to check time or something else. Very useful. Looks awesome too!
 
I am looking for a cover for my S7. Was interested in a body glove cover. After some googling i notice that the international body glove site, doesnt even list the stuff that is on sale in SA. Are we being sold knock offs in SA?
 
I don't like any cases from Body Glove, going back to the Nokia 5800XpressMusic days I have never had a good experience with Body Glove cases.

Rather get a Pure.Gear or Speck case.
 
This time last year I was desperate to get my hands on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This year I have no interest in the S8 anything. The only advantage I can see is that you can read more words in a book as there is more space on the screen. Apart from that, there is nothing about it I like. Especially the sensor on the back. The battery is smaller than the S7 Edge as well, so soon people are going to be screaming about battery life.
I have no intention of getting one, and I don't feel that I am alone in saying this.
 
I hate the curve screen. Sure it looks sexy but so terrible to use and screen gets distorted.

Yep Dee 100% with you. The fingerprint scanner to the side looks like an awful move and ya, i have 0 need to swap out my s7e which is still performing like a beauty.

The V20's sensor on the back works great and it's so so easy.

The S8's is even more energy sufficient than the S7, I think the battery life is going to be excellent!

Personally I can't wait get my hands on it!

I think we'll be surprised about the facial recognition... i forsee a shift from fingerprint to facial recognition for unlocking the phone.... it was soo quick in the demo they did

I watched The Verge's hands on video and the face unlocking was instant, doesn't seem to have any delay whatsoever.
