Vodacom just called me and told me to use my original SIM card, the new one is only for the times people get new phones and the old SIM doesn't fit.
 
I have had my s8plus tomorrow will be 2 weeks. First week thought the s7e battery is deff a beast of a battery but the s8 is settling in now and seems to be getting better and better battery wise. I suppose time will tell. Love the phone though

Coming from the S6 which famously has horrible battery life this is already amazing and I've only had it since last night. This morning with 3 hours usage more than half of which was screen on time I only lost 10%.

On the S6 with the same usage I would be down in the mid to high 60% range.

So the last few nights i used the samsung wireless charger when i went to bed

First night - Stand up wireless Fast Charge
Second night - Flat wireless Fast Charge

Both show 1 hour 30 min till fully charged when placed on it. When i wake up in the morning (about 6-8 hours later) battery level shows 84% - 90%
Wireless Fast charge Setting is enabled on the phone.
Now the chargers are using a S7 Edge adaptive fast charge power brick and a 3rd party cable

Will test tonight with the S8 power brick and S8 cable with adapter for the type c cable

Anyone using wireless fast charge?

I used the stand up charger last night but some activity near our bed must have unplugged the cable somehow. Empty phone today.
So I'm using the EP-P920I wireless charger at the office that I used to use with my S6 and after 3 hours of charging only at 42%

Yep. Works a charm. A lot better than that stupid first iteration of the wireless charger that came with the S6

probably not.

the first wireless charger that came with the S6 was pathetic... it would just stop charging at a point... so I chucked it.

this s7 version, works perfectly well.... and I'm note sure what the S8 version adds that I'm missing with the 7-version???

I've been using the stand up wireless charger that came with the s8.

Both phones, s8 and s7e on fast charge with covers, no issue at all. It doesn't charge as fast as cable, but its still fast (like 10% diff in charging time). Covers are spigen ultra hybrid on s7e and liquid crystal on s8.

But ya, no issue of miss charging or anything of the likes. Both get to 100%... Using s7e charger + USB c adapter.

Ah think I might of found the cause. I still have the plastic on the back under the cover as I'm waiting for my dbrand skin. Maybe that's causing it not to charge properly
 
UAG Plasma Ice case bought and fitted.

It feels much better, I no longer feel like I'm going to drop this slippery sucker, it should also really help for people that can't find the fingerprint sensor because it has bumps that separate the camera and sensor, the bumps also line up with the right side of the camera lens so you're much less likely to go for the camera lens.

Not so sure? From what i took from the interview with DJ Fresh yesterday morning, the guy mentioned coming with your Galaxy S8 and you will go into the "Pod" and choose any of the devices available.

Ill make a comment on the tweet and find out more info.
 
Highly doubt that's the problem. My phone charges perfectly with the case that I got in the accessories bundle.
The thin plastic shouldn't cause a problem
