Fsck, now i'm hoping it was just the cable. Really don't want to go through the hassle of taking the phone back after the 7 day OBF period as then it will get booked in to be assessed :mad:

I am using the Official Samsung case I got with the phone on the wireless charger without any issues. Even had the plastic on there for the first 2 days as well. Using the fast option and the phone has been fully charged every morning. It is the standup charger that I got with the phone (The S7 standup charger, not the new foldable one)

I'm using the S8 with Wireless Charging Stand that came with the accessory pack from day 1. The setting is on Fast charge. Gets to 100% sometime during the night.

The 1st week, the discharge from 100% to 80% was a bit too quick (under 90 mins), but it got to 20% by end of the day (10 hours, moderate use). I am guessing it's just the new battery settling in. This week, discharge is more gradual

Yesterday: Full charge @ 6am. I was sitting at 63% at 5 pm. 21% at 11 pm when I put it back to charge.

Today: Roughly 6 hours use, 76% - estimated battery left 18 hrs.

phone setting notes: I turned off AOD. Brightness and other settings are 'normal'. Not using power saving mode or performance mode. Location/GPS used adhoc. Combo of wifi & 4g network usage

I did use it over the weekend in an area with zero/low network coverage, and the battery did drain when hunting for a network.

The wireless charging stand works well.... just the blue light is annoying, so taped that up.

I do need to find myself another usb-c adaptor to keep at the office for 'emergency' charging.

Are you using the original charger into the wireless charger?

Also, try another plug point in your house or at work. I know a buddy had an issue with an older Samsung due do his plug point not supplying the correct current.
 
According to a an agent at Telkom Mobile, they have no stock of the Galaxy S8 and only anticipate stock on the 8th May, so delivery of it will only be after then...

Nee vok. This fingerprint reader just isn't as good as the V20 one, sorry. I need to make sure I completely cover it, and need to give some pressure as well

*taps his finger on his S6* Oh look, it works at any angle. And it's on the front, how convenient. I wonder if they'll ever do that again :P

uses just the tip of my finger

yup. my fingerprint reader on my G6 is functioning 100% as expected.
and it is in a nice and Natural place :D

Then your fingerprints must be knackered or something, I don't "push" it or anything, I don't even hold it there to make sure, I just tap it and the phone unlocks.

I read that if you enroll too many fingerprints it slows down the system: try deleting all your fingerprints and just adding one, and then see if that makes it faster.

I guess it was just designed for me, not even changing anything I naturally pick the phone up with my index finger right next to the reader, I just move it over give it a little tap and done.
