Samsung Galaxy S8

. I have been using only the original Samsung led flip cover. It protects sides and corners etc... Any way i took it off and the back and sides by buttons are full of scratches and marks. I am so careful and meticulous with my phone... Never ever had a phone scratch like this.

I am so upset it is bugging me like crazy. Luckily screen is perfect

Yes, correct but if you look at my other post above re Vodacom terms and conditions.( snip attached)
re RCS and that it could use wifi or data etc..? Similar? SmartSelectImage_2017-07-06-09-48-13.jpg

Think of it as iMessage on the iPhone, the message app now has instant message capabilities between compatible devices that's where the required data/Wi-Fi connection comes in.
 
Also look at what the sms i received
says.? Is it nit the same thing.
I know that wifi calling functions, was installed
on my phone quite some time ago.
Saw it when using QuickShortcutMaker app. Just not enabled.

This obviously doesn't help your situation but it made me paranoid of my phone being scratched.

I just took off my UAG cover and my phone is still spotless.

The Samsung flip cover debacle has been around since the S6.

Its terrible, i can get a skin for the back... But the sides... Eish.

And they charge so much for original accessories that do that damage
