Samsung Galaxy S8

I am so confused right now with this blue filter thing

So if I turn it off completely.... why does my screen have a blue tint to it??? (tried taking a foto but LOL it doesn't show on the camera [s7edge])

I mean, if this tech didn't exist, would I be walking around with a blue screen?

Is your screen mode on Adaptive Display? I changed mine to AMOLED photo. I found the colours to be better on this mode. When you switch back to Adaptive after using the Photo mode you will immediately notice the change to blue tint. Also the basic mode is closer to sRGB.

Did the same. Much better thanks.

Yuck, what's the point of having an AMOLED display if you are going to use AMOLED Photo, it looks incredibly washed out.

Since the days of the Galay S2 I have always gone to the most vivid, blown out colors setting, in the newer Samsung that is AMOLED Cinema, the Display just looks incredible in this setting.

if you can tell me there is a big difference between Cinema and Photo... well, then maybe i need better eyes.

There is a major difference, Photo has less Blue Light more of a Brown tinge to it, while Cinema is a lot sharper, I know for some it's a tad too over sharpened and has more Blue Light.

Cinema takes all colours and gives them a boost.

Awesome SOT. Got 8hours but died just as I wanted to take a screenshot.

On XDA people are raving about the Whitestone screen protector, but it seems like it greatly depends on how well you install the protector. I am also not sure if it's available in South Africa yet, and it is very expensive.
Maybe watch one of the YouTube videos to get an idea of what's involved with the installation.
I am using one of the free PU ones that came with the VC bundle. While it was ok during the beginning, it has started lifting and bubbling in places, and dirt and lint is starting to stick to the edges. It also has lots of micro scratches from rubbing.

Took mine off (the 3d body glove) all the dust got trapped under. Got the spigen screen protector from zeekonline very very happy

which spigen did you get? i couldn't get the one i wanted... seems the s8+ stock of it just no one had... so ended up with the huge UAG.
