Hi. Is the update that let's you hide navigation bar out on Telkom yet?
I cannot talk for the S8, but the S8+ is amazing with it's battery life. Better than my Note 4. And I love the wireless charging. The screen is amazeballs, and it is extremely quick.
I have not begone to unlock its depths, but this really is an incredibly impressive piece of equipment.

Just a heads up on repair wait time, if something happens to your precious phones (Hopefully nothing happens

My friend who got his S8 about a week before mine, accidentally damage the back of his phone; glass cracked. He took it to Samsung Repair Center in Grove Mall (Pretoria). He has been waiting over two weeks now. Apparently stock, to repair the phone, is a bit hard to come by. Not sure if just isolated case.

I am due for a contract upgrade this weekend, and have/had my mind set on a S8, until someone suggested I look at an LG G6.
Mainly because the S8 is deemed to be very fragile and easily damaged and expensive to repair.
Any comments on this?

Accidents happen, but a decent cover and screen protector and you are sorted.

Here you go.
Go S8. While build and cameras etc. are pretty much the domains of personal preference, the hard facts are that S8 has got a better ecosystem (accessories, related products, support services and to some degree software)
On support services: For R70 (extra) a month you'll get Mobile care and thus have the peace of mind of a relatively cheap screen repair when required (approx R2700 over a 2 year period, that estimate including a R1000 pay-in with each repair) or you'll take the cell providers insurance in which case the cost of repair is moot for either device.
TL;DR. S8.

Having looked at both the s8 and s8+, I'm going to go for the s8. Mainly because of the size as the s8+ is quite massive. s8 will fit better in my pocket and is already big enough.

Mine is set to enable Blue Filter at 21:30 and then disable at 6:00.
