I also don't get that much screen on time. It all depends which apps you install and how much is running in the background. It's very very subjective.

What you should be aiming at is getting a full day with your normal usage. YOUR normal. Anything beyond that is a waste in my opinion because there is no way you are going to get two days out of your phone unless you power save severly, and who wants to charge in the middle of day 2 just because he went a day and a half on 1 charge. Makes no sense to me.

The S7edge is pretty great, but even the S8 will be an upgrade for you from the G4

Ai Fanie. I was pretty much set on the s7 edge and was looking forward to great battery life. Now I'm not sure what to do

Think I'm going for the standard s8 instead of the edge. The plus is to much of a stretch budget wise :/

Apart from the S Pen does anybody have any info which will suggest that the Note 8 will perform better and/or have better battery life than the S8

I am surprised we don't see more info on the Note 8 as the launch date must be quite close.

Leaks have stated 6GB ram with possibly a 8995 processor, compared to the US s8 version of 8895 OR the snapdragon 835 which is the same as S.A. s8 processor.

Also possibility of dual camera.

I am due for an upgrade and was wondering why we don't see or hear anything Note wise.

The S8 Freeme 1gb @R629 contract comes with 100 all network minutes included. Unlike the standard Freeme 1gb packages... So add .70c per minute x 100 to that calc.

Got my S8 from telkom yesterday. Wireless charger included which is nice.

BTW is it safe to remove the ICASA & Serial/IMEI sticker from the back? or will it void warranty?

Battery life doesn't seem great. Will give it a day or 2 to settle. Thinking of buying a quick charger for the car. Any recommendations?

Spigen is great that specific case is not drop tested. I wold have gone something along the lines of the "armour" range that is military grade drop tested.
I settled on the UAG (Urban Armour Gear) Plasma Case, very happy and the buttons feel so responsive with it on.

I'll take my chances & let you know once I've drop tested it The UAG cases are hideous imo.

Confirmed that wireless charging is working trough the case.

that case is the schit. i had it with my v20 but couldn't find stock for it on the S8+... great choice

You can take the sticker off, all the info is inside the phone... stick it inside your phone's box for safe keeping.
