Happens to mine all the time when I have it plugged in the car charger while using GPS to a point where I get the message that the charging has been paused due to the battery temperature.

Happens to mine to. Almost too hot to touch. Even after turning off maps it stays warm.

This is happening to my wife's phone as well. Overheating + fast battery drain. Did a full format and it's still the same. Have you found some kind of solution?

The Samsung plastic ones are good but didn't work with my Spigen case. Using a plastic Spigen screen one.
