Good news for anybody that uses the Plex app on their Samsung smart tv, a new version has been approved by Samsung and should be released in the next couple of weeks.

The new version adds channel support, which is something I really missed when I initially started using the app.

Thanks a lot for the update. I'm also using the Plex app on my Smart TV and what I also find is that it's a bit slow when I scroll through all my movies. Hope there's be some performance enhancements as well.

Yeah it is a bit sluggish . What TV you using?

By the sounds of it, it's quite a significant update, really looking forward to trying it out.
 
I've got the 46" ES8000. Pretty cool TV I must admit. Looking forward to upgrading it with the smart evolution kit in the next two months.
 
Seems the app has been released, haven't had time to check it out though.
 
I've updated it this morning before I left work. Seems pretty standard. Still feels a bit clunky navigating around the app. Audio and Video channels have now been added. Still need to play around with it to get a good feel.
 
Yeah doesn't feel that different but the addition of video channels is pretty awesome.

Just watched an episode using the Letmewatchthis channel and it ran perfectly. So happy that this has been added.

Version 2.000 is out, and rocks!
Much better to navigate now - and looks more like XBMC with plot info, season covers, etc!

Well worth the upgrade guys!
 
If I go to watch something later and I still only see the old version I'm going to be highly upset.
 
I'm still waiting for their self-hosted user account change to iOS, Android and Tv Apps.. meh, they like half baking new features :(

Also really wish they support OneDrive

I'l check it out... i found the current / old one was horrible, and rather used Plex on my Roku
