Samsung UA50F5000

A good TV?
What would be a good price on this?

Thanks guys

It's all you need, just set it to torch mode and you'll be happy...

R7,999 at Makro, on promotion.

If you're after better picture quality and motion handling, be a man and get plasma, R8,999 for 51" FHD 3D SMART. You can always set it to dynamic/torch mode if you want that LCD 'pop' (except it'll be better).

Wow got offered one at 6k ex vat

So you really think the 50f5000 is a decent unit? Thanks man
Better than that 40?

I haven't seen the UA50F5000, but I can vouch for the UA40F5000. Both should be on par with each other.

I'm sitting in front of a UA40F5000 right now. The only down side for me is motion handling. Otherwise PQ is fine.

So to sum it up for you:

Option A: UA40F5000 for R5250

Pro's:
- Bright LED, even in your well lit room
- Full HD

Con's:
- Only 40 inches
- You can't view it as well from the sides
- Not as smooth, not as black, your SD will not look the best

Option B: 40EH60300 for R6000

Pro's:
- Bright LED, even in your well lit room
- Full HD
- 3D

Con's:
- Only 40 inches
- You can't view it as well from the sides
- Not as smooth, not as black, your SD will not look the best

Option C: PS51F4000 for R6000

Pro's:
- Vivid Colors
- VERY wide viewing angle (think you can do 90 degrees even)
- Super Blacks, 600Hz Smooth, SD Will look great (plasma handles SD very well!)
- 51 Inches

Con's:
- Not Full HD (but this isn't really such a big deal, trust me)
- You need curtains (The reflection isn't as bad as they say... my living room is pretty bright and it's totally fine for me... but I don't know your house to be 100% sure)

the PS51F4000 and PS51F4500 are *exactly* the same, except for the vertical resolution which is 768 instead of 480.
- Spec Comparison -

I would do that if the price isn't TOO much more. I don't see the F4500 on guzzle, where do you see it and for what price?
