Sanral employee held for 'terrorism'

I get A pain in the arse everytime AN ******* mentions Sanral in A sentence. AN honest person would agree that A conversation like this is A precursor to AN argument.

Oh my hahaha seriously dude. An is 100% correct in this case.

Were you a 2013 matric?

Try reading the rest of the thread, mkay?

What about the word university? A university sounds a lot more comfortable than an university.

Yes, a university is right. It's vowel-sounding, so it gets 'A'.

I agree with you. If you pronounce it as a word (Sanral) like 99% of the population do, it is "a". If you spell out the word (Es-Ay-En-Ar-Ay-El), like News24 editors do, then you use "an".

Yes, but in the article the SA is a vowel-sounding abbreviation, so it gets 'an'. If it was SANRAL then it would be 'a'.

So in short -- we care more about the use of "a" and "an" than whether someone commits an act of 'terrorism' against SANRAL.
