Not so easy, and in anycase, if that were true, if you arrest 20 pirates, 40 pirates will take their place within a few minutes/hours...... Arrrrr
 
So, someone pirates a DVD and sells it on the street for a couple of bucks to earn enough to stay alive.
The ANC wastes and dare I say steal m(b)illions through their incompetence and corruption.

I know both's wrong, but who do you suppose are the REAL bad guys here?
 
evilstebunny: They have other things they could be doing than selling chinese knock-off produce and pirated games. They are simply too short-sighted to realise that by supporting foreign companies producing these knock-off products, they are damaging the economy in which they are trying to peddle that very same merchandise.

People who sell pirated, gray-market, stolen or knock-off goods do more harm than good, and unfortunately, politics being what they are, this is about the most law enforcement that can probably be done in this country.

Sure, our politicians may be incredibly corrupt, but good luck and have fun trying to prove it and having anything done about those same politicians. At least the police can arrest those selling the aforementioned goods and prosecute them for their crimes, hopefully helping to reduce the fallout crime associated with this market (there's plenty of violent crime surrounding these people)
 
I know nano, I was merely pointing out that they're declaring war on the little guys with their AK47's while turning a bling eye to the real baddies with their nukes.
Like others mentioned, they're going for the soft targets again where they should perhaps be focusing their resources on serious crimes like rape etc.
