SARS E-Filing 2016

Theres probably a pretty hectic backlog, all the verification docs have to be looked at by a human being for the finalisation to be done.

My first upload of supporting docs was on 15 July, and the second bunch just before month end.

Just wait 21 working days (They will come back)
 
Going by this thread activity one can see that the early birds have complated their tax returns and the late folks who probably have not even thought about it yet.
 
Im still waiting. Almost 2 months since I filed and uploaded supporting documents.
 
I just don't feel the urge to complete mine.

Told myself last year I'll complete it as soon as I have all my documents....:D

Same here. Filed the day e-filing opened. Sent documents next day. It's been now exactly 2 months. Still waiting.
 
You guys were lucky. I submitted mine 20 July and got my SMS yesterday :p

BUUUUUUUUUUT

They deducted tax twice from me for last year, so I end up owing them instead of them owing me. Time to log my 5th dispute...so tired of this already :(

I'm confused.

After getting the finalization SMS and e-mail, I just received the following SMS.
'Dear Taxpayer a review of your tax return requires you to visit a SARS branch.'

What could have changed in 2 days?

May be issues with your bank details, which they realized when trying to pay you. Did you happen to change bank accounts since completing your previous tax return?

No. I have had the same account for 20 odd years.

Was there for the 3rd time in two weeks, 9 hours total waiting time. This morning after 3 hours they told me that I had already done the verification 3 days earlier on the 6th and I also got that SMS on Friday. The consultant told me that it was sent by mistake.

However, it might be that they really do require of you to verify again.

It seems that there is a small typo somewhere that has caused this.

I'm in the UK this week, so I'll have to try get it sorted when I'm back. Very annoying.
