during the course of the tax year, I transferred a RA from Liberty to Allan Gray. Liberty are showing the transfer under source code 3920(RETIREMENT FUND LUMP SUM WITHDRAWAL BENEFIT). Is that correct? Allan Gray have not done a tax certificate for this preservation fund.

I have also, due to a property I rent out, being paying provisional tax on top of my monthly income tax. On the calculations sheet, there is no mention of the additional tax paid, resulting in a very large amount being owed by me. When and how does the provisional tax paid get included in the calcs?

If I remember correctly it only shows when you have submitted your return on the ITA34 and it does not reflect on the calculator

I have same issue...

I changed jobs last year and it was the first job that I starting investing for retirement and I moved the money into a Pension Preservation Fund with Investec. Now my return it has 3 IRP5's, 1 for old company, 1 for new AND 1 for my old companies pension fund. I can't find a tax certificate or anything from Investec for this and wondering if this is normal? Am I suppose to declare this as transfer to a preservation fund using supporting documents from Investec?

EDIT: Found answer https://www.taxtim.com/za/answers/t...uity-fund-to-another-how-to-handle-on-efiling

It wont make a difference to your tax calculation indeed.

You're welcome to pay me the difference between what you're getting and what you expected to get, if it helps you feel less guilty.

Submitted mine this morning, was not expecting a cent back....but , looks like I have been overtaxed -- from zero, to a few grand back..not a bad start to the week.

Meh, trying to login but I have no record of my user ID anywhere, aren't you supposed to get a verification email or something?

Trying to recover it, it's asking me Security Questions but I don't recognise them and apparently I don't know the correct answers. Eish.

Those who needed to send in supporting documents: Please post when you get a SARS letter saying they have completed verification and post the date and time when you submitted the documents. Will give us an idea of what sort of backlog they are dealing with and how long from submission to completion takes.

So did anyone have RA contributions that were successfully carried forward from the previous year (as shown in last years and this years notice of assessment)?

Every year I forget...
If the calculation result is positive it means I owe SARS correct? And negative they owe me?

Thanks to whomever commented and then deleted your statement... see, I was right.
