Lol, on the bright side you could have been the guy on here who ows SARS R1 500.

From July I'm getting my Discovery premium off my personal account instead, so I think that will make it better for me. No employer fiddling with my tax credits.
That's what my wife was saying :) I think cause I scored nicely last year it's balanced out

Just be warned, if you do this you must prepare for a double premium. Companies pay in arrears, and when you go onto private you have to pay in advance. That's why an extra premium becomes necessary.

If you ever switch back to a company scheme in the future, you at least get your 'extra' premium back.

I did my return and only got R2k more than last year although I drove more than double the business kilometers. Nothing else changed so does this seem normal?

Where do I check if I have been selected for verification? If I open the ITA34, it just gives me my refund figure - where do I find the results page?

I done this in May already. I've done the whole fingerprint verification and all. It took a day out of my life sitting at SARS.

If you made any changes to your address or bank account on e filing hot will have to go to the branch and verify.

I just logged into my efile account se check if they decided to audit me when I noticed my statement of account now shows R0.00. I clicked on view calculation aamd I received a message saying "we have detected that your calculation amount has changed". Theres 2 options, view previous amount and close.

When clicking on previous amount it shows the amount the originally owed me but everywhere else ir shows R0.00

Completed mine and uploaded the required verification documents. This thread seems a lot slower than last year's one...

So SARS added a new section for the Tax Free Investments.

Should the broker provide the details SARS require, such as Nett profilt/loss? Or should I calculate this manually?

Now, the million zim dollar question? When do they payUp?

I got my eye on some gadgets that aren’t going to buy themselves

It's near the bottom of the first page of the assessment. It shows a Y or N in the Audit column.

If you haven't been selected for audit, normally it's pretty quick ... my guess would be during the course of next week.

Well, it I have a N under selected for audit,

And the home screen shows the status as assessed

:p So there's your answer. N = No. Y = Yes. You're in the clear.

However, in 2014 , it also had a N, but there was a special hold on mine, big fight and 4 months later :(

But the status was something else, something like

Any help please.

My medical aid contribution are paid by the employer, I have spent over R10000 on paying doctors and didn't claim it from the scheme, my medical aid certificate shows that portion pain on claims is R5060 yet sars calculation say -77.
Am I doing it wrong or what

Have you ever received a refund before, BlackMamba? It's possible that your employer is giving you your tax credit for the medical aid directly with each payslip, so there would be zero owing to you in that case. Because you've incurred some extra medical expenses then I guess you'd only get a fraction of that back on tax, which might explain the R77 back (off R5 000 odd).
