I'm getting less than a third of what you are.

Assuming that's around 2k, and it's 0.4% of the total PAYE, it would mean that your total PAYE was 500k, making your annual salary just over 1.44 million per annum. So I would say you're not doing too badly. ;)

Not quite, lol I wish
Some of my numbers are approximations

My employer doesn't pay for my medical aid or ra,
So, discovery classic comprehensive x 3 people, and a retirement annuity , adds up
On the refund side

I'm using your post as an example and certainly not picking on you.

It doesn't matter whether a taxpayer is on the cheapest medical aid hospital plan or the most expensive top plan with savings etc: all medical aid paying taxpayers get the same monthly credits back. Only out of pocket expenses can increase a refund.

Except that some have the credits worked into their monthly PAYE contribution so that they don't have a refund due now.

Same as every year for the probably last 10 years, my assessment came out to be +- R0.05...........

Still waiting.... :( Hoping to get it before the 15th so I can settle my car this month.

Colleague that did his on the 30th just after me when I let him know it's available, got his money yesterday. Meanwhile, my statement of account doesn't even show any indication of an electronic refund yet.

In the same boat. :(

No. My refund is just made up of tax credits for medical aid.
