I had no disconnect between my SMS' and what was happening on my e-filing this year.

That's why I said "most cases" because some people haven't had the issue, but a lot of folks on here and in my circle are experiencing that breakdown in comms

Looks like I'm getting paid tomorrow. As per my previous posts, I filled on 1 July, selected for verification, uploaded all docs on 1 July, completed on 10 July, payment date 14 July. The big learning this year is that there is a disconnect between backend processing and e-filling profile systems communication (no letters, sms etc.) in most cases. Thus creating unnecessary anxiety amongst tax payers. Advice: Follow up with the call centre every 2nd or third day, it looks like the work is being done in the back office but you need to call for updates as opposed to relying on e-filling workpage to give you progress updates.

I cant get that page on my profile so my payment is not yet confirmed like your?

Request a new statement of account, you will see under transaction details if your payment has been confirmed with it's associated date. If there is no payment or date, they have not yet completed your verification. I have only seen my refund and payment date as of today, before this there was nothing

Is anyone else having their refund audited? I submitted on the 1st of July and was not selected for audit/verification, called SARS again today and was told it could take up to 60 days to be completed. Banking details or anything else hasn't changed.
Really getting frustrated with SARS...

Pretty conclusive from the various feedback in this thread that SARS have intentionally slowed the entire process down now to stay on the right side of the "may not withhold refunds" bad press they have been having....

If i may ask, before this day, was your SOA blank? Mine is blank but every time i went to that page it will still show my refund on top, but all of a sudden today it shows zero and my SOA is still blank.

Try open it in Adobe Reader. In Chrome/Firefox mine was displaying blank, but there was information when I opened the PDF in Adobe Reader.

Where do you get to the statement of accounts? I haven't done that before.

I filed on the 2nd and uploaded docs the same day, so hoping I also get paid soon.

Try open it in Adobe Reader. In Chrome/Firefox mine was displaying blank, but there was information when I opened the PDF in Adobe Reader.

No it does open but the statement of account is blank it does not have anything written on it. You see when you log in to e filing it will show a snapshot of e filing status as well as statement of account balance. My statement of account balance was showing there, but now it is zero when i pull SOA it is blank, i can read it but there is nothing written on it. It has fields with no populated information.

If you wait a while, it will eventually show up as a new heading on the top right underneath "SARS Status" with the heading of "Statement of Account". I managed to view it earlier by going to "SARS Correspondence" -> "Request Historic IT Notices" and then choosing "I want to request a Statement of Account" and then clicking "Next".

You're then taken to a page containing a PDF. This PDF can be missing some information if viewed in a browser, so save it to your desktop and open in Adobe Reader.

Anyone actually getting the form to show? It was showing last weekend but all this week it doesn't get further than this. Haven't tried it in the evening though.

Using Firefox? Click on the x to close the dialog. Then click in the blank space left behind. Look at the top of your browser for the option to enable Flash. Then refresh the page.

What is my recourse if my previous employer did not submit a IRP5 to me or to SARS, I cannot file my return without it and they wont assist in sending it?

Go to SAPS and fill in a sworn statement form stating the above. I did the same - accepted without a worry.
