SARS E-Filing 2018

anyone received this email and had to submit more documents (no link on efiling). Has your refund been done?
 
I got the same text, I don't know what documents are needed. Did you manage to resolve your issue?
 
If SARS requests documents fir verification they have 21 business days after they receive it but what if they request more documents on day 17? Do they then have another 21 business days to complete the verification?

Yes. And if you phone and get a new ref number the 21 starts again.

Check again. The link sometimes takes 1-2 days to appear after you receive the email.

2018-07-05 - Received requirement to submit supporting documents
2018-07-06 - Uploaded supporting documents
2018-07-06 - Received case status update: Receipt of supporting documents

Still waiting. Nothing yet, pulling SOAs still list as "Selected for Audit or Verification: Yes". Today marks 21 working days since submitting the documents.
 
If the SOA is still not updated today, then you can call the complaints office on 0860121216 to have it escalated, although according to the service charter, SARS has up to 90 business days to deal with an audit.
 
I got my confirmation of my doc upload for audit 02:30 Friday the 13th. Just phoned to query and they told me 21 working days, so that's sometime the week of the 13th... Good thing I'm not superstitious

It's not an audit, it's a verification, so they only have 21 business days, according to that same service charter. Thanks for the number, will call them a bit later today.

SARS should pay your refund within 7 working days after completion letter. Keep tabs on your SOA for a electronic refund date.
 
Mines completed but am raising a dispute for a small amount as they rejected some claims. Filed 6th.
 
Arb question.

I'm disputing an amount that they have offset against my refund. Will the refund be paid first while they investigate the dispute or be put on hold until the total is resolved? Basically they say they owe me less money and I've sent docs showing they owe it all.

I had a similar situation. They've paid what they say they owe while the dispute over the rest is on going
