Nope.. audit has changed to No.. but no refund date as yet.. hoping the refund will take 3 or 4 days tho..

Hi all. Needing a but of help...
So I did my Wife's tax returns on the 1st July. Submitted. Showed refund of R13k odd on the ITA3. We had a lot of medical bills.
So eventually we got a call to submit the proof of medical bills. Although not notified of this from SARS. I submitted ages ago. Eventually this past week we got another ITA3 which showed a refund of R0. However, on this 2nd assessment it says that this excludes the - R13k on the account statement.
I'm confused. So will she get a refund or not?
I will have to log on again to give you the exact wording of the 2nd ITA3.
Appreciate any help

This year was a PITA as it's the first time I'm being audited. Thankfully it is now concluded. ;D

This year was a PITA as it's the first time I'm being audited. Thankfully it is now concluded. ;D
Usually they don't show the previous values in your correction document. Last year my return was say -R30k then I filed a correction and the latest document shows -R8k. In the end you get -R38k refunded.
no completion letter just my revised assesment
Ok so SOA updated this morning still no completion letter but refund scheduled for tomorrow so here is my timeline
12.07.2018 filed return
12.07.2018 selected for verification uploaded first set of docs
17.07.2018 uploaded second set of docs
16.08.2018 lodged complaint has my return was past 21 working days for verification
16.08.2018 received revised assessment letter no change to refund
20.08.2018 SOA shows refund 21.08.2018
Same thing on my return but you will get the refund all it means is that there is no further changes to your assessment

So I submitted my docs on friday... Not to wait ages for them to finalise the audit.
Mine is the otherway around, no revised assessment but i have a completion letter..
Its weird most important docs now is SOA does it show a date for refund
Nope.. no date for refund, do you think i should call them or just wait a day or 2?

No change on mine. Lodged complaint on Thursday morning and that's it. No change on anything yet.
As a lekker update, Chrome has stopped downloading the PDF files I try and download. It now half-opens it in some stupid broken view and freezes. This is since last week Friday's update SARS did. So now I have to use Edge.

Call the complaints line and ask them they have been helpful so far and no harm in asking
