SARS E-Filing 2019/20

Yeah i saw that, except the UIF contributions on my IRP5 is under code: 4141 (which is current according to the SARS website). So i dont understand what they are referring to here...

Same boat as you now.. No idea where they are getting this..

Got my sms earlier. Logged in, requested and accepted within 5 mins. The thing that took the longest was how long it took to generate the ITR12 in the new tab. I think this is a great initiative by SARS. Well done to them for this and I applaud them for making tax easy for the average person.

Just got the unsolicited sms.. nearly freaked out.

Will log in later today, looks like I’m getting quite a bit back yay!

I didn't get an sms.
Just went in and generated a return, and 10 minutes later I was done.

Great work by SARS

No idea how they got this right.
Must be protected from themselves.

Tax Ref: ******. Your 2020 Year of Assessment tax calculated results is R17509.60, based on the information at SARS disposal. You can accept or edit your return through the SARS digital channels. Failure to do so may result in SARS raising an estimate assessment. For more info, visit the SARS website

SARS want me to pay in 17.5k :laugh: that ain't happening.

So I requested a return for 2020 on efiling and then it popped up to say I have been auto assessed.

And guess what, the auto assesment document has the correct refund amount due to me. I accepted and an IT34 was issued to me. That should be it. Refund EFT awaits....

VERY strange that the SMS had the wrong refund figure
this?

My brother also received an sms with a refund figure WAAY lower than it should be. Logged in, requested for 2020 and the correct refund figure was presented to him.

There's obviously a bug in their system when it comes to the generation of the assessment sms and the pulling of the refund figure.

Just keep requesting a calculation until you get a number you like.

I usually get my RA information populated, should I add myself as I have the certificate or speak to Old Mutual? I don't want to be marked for verification.

I had the same problem yesterday.I edited my banking details and put the same banking details and filed successfully. My refund is due tomorrow.
Did you edit your banking details and then changed it back to your old banking details?

Anyone have an issue where they couldn't add travel mileage...its grayed out, despite seletign that I indeed want to claim?
