Yea.. it’s another case of business politicizing an issue by making into a “freedom” thing when it’s just about making money! <<— US has a few of these irrational things.

So i changed companies and i've not seen their filing (need to scour my email for it) but found it weird, is their statement showing the wrong text for the code? as when i looked up code via website i saw the fringe definition,

Is the code on your IRP5 certificate? If so you should be speaking to your employer.
 
Slightly off-topic, but anyone know how I can go about getting a Tax Number? I signed up on the SARS website but this thing is so convoluted and annoying to use.

It's not all that complicated. They do need a lot of information but it can be done in less than an hour last I looked.

Right, uploaded the 3 docs and I still don't have a number. That's the issue.
 
Is the Tax Calculation Result the figure SARS owes me? My sms says I owe SARS

Hi guys. I am new here and loving this robust forum. I am trying to file my taxes. All my info is there, but when i hit calculate it is giving me:


We could not display your calculation.
4482 - IRP5 L/S AMOUNT MISSING

Please help :( I did change jobs last November (that IRP5 is there).

Thinking about your stress last year. That's great. Even mine not audited this year.
 
I recall my tax submission last year. Did my tax in July, had to pay in. Wasnt audited.

In Nov got another letter ... they are auditing me lol.

Rule 101: keep supporting documents
 
Yeah, I got a sms yesterday about auto assessment so logged in and completed it. Not selected for verification so expect some money some time I suppose.
 
Auto assessment accepted lunchtime on Thursday 30/7
Refund in this morning.

New SARS commission is clearly fixing that place and what a lekker change to not have to submit supporting documents this year and then wait anxiously until they send the verification complete letter - that process has ruined many a July for me.

Well, that's one of my things' 2021 school fees sorted :)
