SARS E-Filing 2021/22

i am still waiting for tax docs from ABSA stockbrokers.......has anyone else who uses them received anything yet?
 
Hi guys,
Bit of a strange one from my side.

Submitted return yesterday, said that I was due for a refund and no audit.

Now I get 2 SMS's (each with a different case number) from SARS to say that my 2022 assessment was selected for verification. No e-mail in this regard received.

When I login to e-filing, I can't find anywhere that it says that I've been selected for an audit. Statement of account and ITA34 both still shows that I'm still due a refund with no audit needed....

Does anyone know how I can check what's going on?

Similar for me. I think I filed on Tues with no audit. I got an email and SMS now asking for supporting documentation which I've uploaded. Hopefully I still get paid tomorrow but I think that's gonna be unlikely.

When you logged in after receiving the SMS & e-mail, where did you check that you're required to submit supporting docs? And where do you go to upload them?

I've searched correspondence, I've searched the 2 x case numbers they SMS'd me and it shows nothing about being selected for an audit or needing to upload docs

I just received an SMS & e-mail from SARS to say that IT34 Notice was issued - I login and it shows this as version 2 of my assessment and it's exactly the same... original refund due and not selected for audit.

I'm properly confused

As soon as you log in, you should see a message that says something like awaiting supporting documentation and there's a big red button to "Upload Documents". Once you click that, it'll take you to a page where you can upload each doc and then submit the whole batch to SARS.

Thanks for the feedback and help.... I've got none of those :unsure:

Your data will be on your tax return. If it compares with your records, feel free to submit your return. :)

Request a SOA. It will list your refund date if all is in order. :)

You are looking at your ITA34 form. Your SOA will state electronic refund. ;)
