SARS E-Filing 2021/22

Just submitted mine. Not selected for verification, but they sometimes change their minds...

SARS will send you an verification letter, for some people it happens faster than others, you should receive the letter through your email that is linked to your account.
Where do you see if you are selected for verification? I did mine last night...

It depends what you use it for. If it is just installed in your personal home, and you don't work from home, you will not be able to claim any tax deductions.
And tell me something. The 130k I spent on solar. Is that deductible?

dafaq does this mean:

Please note that this tax return was not processed because SARS issued a Tax Directive No. 3065XXXX , but there is no Lump Sum amount declared on the return. You can access a copy of the Tax Directive on eFiling or MobiApp. Urgently contact the Fund Administrator/Employer to correct the error and submit the corrected tax return.

Anyone use TaxTim?

I am recently a Momentum client, and we get to use TaxTim Free, wondering if its worth it over what I normally do?

Typically I do the return myself and am quite knowledgeable with regards to all the things that is required to be filled in, is there any merit to using TaxTim, its so easy nowadays on eFiling as well.

It seems that you have received a lump sum from your retirement fund, but they failed to provide an IRP5 with the necessary information. From what I have seen the retirement funds usually provide an IRP5, this should automatically pull through on your ITR12 (income tax form). SARS normally issues a tax directive to the retirement fund to inform them of how much tax should be deducted from the lump sum amount. So the fund pays out the net amount to you, and pays over the remaining held back tax to SARS.

I didn't receive a retirement payout in the last tax year...interesting. Will take this up with my employer.
