Well no, since last year, I am audited / income verified hence why I decided to strike early. Today is Day 1/21 they have to conduct the verification. And SARS accepted without audit?
Thanks for the advice.
Where do you see if you are selected for verification? I did mine last night...Just submitted mine. Not selected for verification, but they sometimes change their minds...

And tell me something. The 130k I spent on solar. Is that deductible?
The initial calculation will say no, but if you get selected, you'll get a notification, and a spot to upload supporting documentsWhere do you see if you are selected for verification? I did mine last night...
Mine said N at first, but got changed
This is scary. When did you submit, and then when did it change?Mine said N at first, but got changed

dafaq does this mean:
Please note that this tax return was not processed because SARS issued a Tax Directive No. 3065XXXX , but there is no Lump Sum amount declared on the return. You can access a copy of the Tax Directive on eFiling or MobiApp. Urgently contact the Fund Administrator/Employer to correct the error and submit the corrected tax return.
I didn't receive a retirement payout in the last tax year...interesting. Will take this up with my employer. It seems that you have received a lump sum from your retirement fund, but they failed to provide an IRP5 with the necessary information. From what I have seen the retirement funds usually provide an IRP5, this should automatically pull through on your ITR12 (income tax form). SARS normally issues a tax directive to the retirement fund to inform them of how much tax should be deducted from the lump sum amount. So the fund pays out the net amount to you, and pays over the remaining held back tax to SARS.
A two-day turnaround time is the norm. I filed yesterday and the payment is due tomorrow. How did you get that done so quickly???
I wonder how long my audit will take?
