SARS E-Filing 2021/22

Something slow with their notifications this year. Only got email now to say they had issues an ITA34, but had that yesterday already.

The system wasn't working this morning so I couldn't see what gives. I do see the correspondence issued to me is October 2022...lol.
Only issue I have is they didn't refund me for a office chair I needed to work at home. No explanation nothing. But I wouldn't even know how to dispute this.

Oh I'm so dumb. This is the next tax year already.

SARS automatically calculated my taxes and payed me out this morning.
So now I need to go back and claim home office expenses somehow.
 
Does an it34 email from sars mean I've successfully submitted and now just need to wait for refund? Submitted last friday
 
Checked my previous Statement of Accounts. Two of them say that I was not selected for verification even though I was :cautious:

Means they are happy with your docs and refund amount (if any) does not change.

Lovely stuff! Last year they were not happy and I had to go through an audit which was quite unpleasant.
 
If you work for yourself from home, can you put the cost of a vacuum cleaner you bought as part of your business expenditure?

I dont think so, at least not from my side.
I got that email, but status says correction filed.

I think they going through my documents now? No idea

Notifications are really slow, getting sms a day or so after ive done stuff asking for stuff ive done
 
Decided that it's time to phone them re my refund after the last call back call failed and obv they didn't call me back:

Currently 727 in the queue from 1600 or so:
