I got refund within 3-4 days of filing. I think I filed on Saturday so 2 business days, very impressive as usual.

Hi bud.Did they finally pay or you are still waiting .I got assigned a sars person on 14th Aug.Trying to do the maths .ThanksSimilar timelines for me.
Submitted all, plus supporting docs on 27/06, for both me and the wife. Got a SARS official assigned on 18/07. The wife's assessment was finalized, and she got her refund on 21/07. As for mine, no movement since I got assigned a SARS official on the 18th. So, guess I will have to wait 21 days from the 18th now? Eish...
Did get paid, on the 27/07. Got a message that case was finalized on the 22/07.Hi bud.Did they finally pay or you are still waiting .I got assigned a sars person on 14th Aug.Trying to do the maths .Thanks
Request a Statement of account. It shows your refund date.I submitted my return yesterday and got an ITA34 showing a credit (refund). However, when I click Refund Status it returns "No Refund Due".
Does this means it has been processed and I should expect it in the coming days?
Where do the rest of you see the refund date? (I saw some people reporting a refund payout date).
Or is there a problem and should I phone?
Thank you, it says "Electronic Refund 2022-08-19" - woop woop. Strippers and booze it is.Request a Statement of account. It shows your refund date.
Dont rely on that, although just like UIF, they like paying on a Friday.Thank you, it says "Electronic Refund 2022-08-19" - woop woop. Strippers and booze it is.![]()
Nope...if was on my portal. Are you sure that was actually sent by SARS and that it's not a phishing scam?
No it was in my correspondence. I have now approached the Ombudsman as the same thing happend to my colleague for 2021 claims and she has been asked to supply the same documents 16 times and still no payout! Was this sent by email or it was in the correspondence section. I would check if it’s in efilling if it was an email.
At least I didn't have to wait 18 months for SARS to payDont rely on that, although just like UIF, they like paying on a Friday.
For your sake I truly hope so. MAY THE ODDS BE FOREVER IN YOUR FAVOUR!!Over month after submitting supporting documents, I received notice today saying my verification has been completed with no changes. Does this mean a refund is on the table soon ?
No such thing as escalation. Log a complaint, elapsed time is one of the options.

I went ahead and logged the complaint on 15 August, without phoning them - sorry, I hate phoning people and wasn't in the mood for SARS. On that same day, the complaint was rejected with a "Cause of complaint still within Service Level." message.Make a branch appointment online.

And then ask them to escalate it for you.
You may have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment date. The earliest I could get on Thursday was 26 August.
Otherwise you'll have to hold. The practitioner helpline is unavailable as well. There you have a call back option at least.
I have several verifications that haven't even had an auditor assignment. SARS has been a real mess the last few months.
