Last time I check they add 10% every month you don't pay and after certain amount of months they add a R2500-R7500 penality.

LOL. A work colleague told us how they started garnishing her salary for R1000. See you in this thread again soon. :p

Garnishing is really a later effort. I owed them over 20k at one point and didn't pay. Eventually, after changing my tax to 100% for the car allowance, i started paying that of and least few years finally started getting nice money back.

Are the IRP5 details meant to be populated on the return yet? I just generated my 2023 return and I don't think anything has been populated. Even Satrix tax certs aren't ready yet. Weird.

How much are you guys and gals expecting to get back this year?

I'm aware.

But isn't this stuff populated in advance? Apparently IRP5 data had to be submitted by companies at end of May so I assumed it'll reflect on the return.

And it usually opens (not officially) before 1st July so no harm in checking early.

I’ve never seen it populated this far in advance.

Usually from what I remember is that you may find it open for submission by the 30th or so and it may be populated by then but not always.

Related to satrix.... EasyEquities are scheduled to be uploading on the 20th.

Worst case I guess is I can fill in manually from the IRP5 itself. Otherwise I guess I'll have to wait, impatient this year.
 
I logged in seems i was missing 2016 and 2017 returns, fixed it, got some bucks back.
Ready for this year return!

I'm thinking I'll get something between R20k and R30k
