SARS eFiling 2024/2025

Where? All I see is the Payment Due Date and Interest free period (Grace period) until, neither of which apply as I owe nothing to SARS.
Usually money reflects within 48 - 72 hours of it being processed.

You should see the below if you weren't chosen for audit or verification:

"Electronic Refund" is the processing date

No 'Electronic refund' line item on my ITSA...

And ITSA confirms I am not selected for audit or verification...

I love the new AI model that you can def feel is checking submissions.

Last 10 years, I have always claimed back money because I have an RA outside my company and they don't want to accept a tax directive. So my claims were always big, and I was always selected for verification and audit.

This drove me insane because the submission was never changed after I submitted the documentation, and they just selected me based on the amount.

So this year I asked me more back, but I weren't selected for either, and the only way that could happen is if the AI knew my previous years' returns and saw everything was in order and didn't worry about the amount.

So submitted at 09h00 and finalised 10 seconds after submitting. One gov department that feels like they are leading the world.

Now they just need to start taxing the trust fund kids and the people that has zero income but own a Ferrari and a house in Camps Bay.

Well, last time I was selected for verification was in 2018 and now in 2025 again. Guess it's just a case of round robin.

Well the AI seems pretty dom for me. I've been working from home for the past 5 years (same address and same employer), yet every year I'm selected for verification or audit, and they ask for the exact same proof and details.

I have this same error, what do you need to actually do?
Had the same issue but fortunately only on the second lump sum (transfer). Tick yes for lump sum receipt in the setup questions. This should generate a lump sum tab to complete. Typically requires an IRP5 cert No., Directive No., the amount, and if I recall one other reference No. from the IRP5. Still not sure who (Employer or source fund) issues the IRP5 to SARS but the recipient fund should be able to supply the details. In my case, Sygnia were able to provide.

In any of your assessment calculations - i.e the pdf with the Rand value you must pay in or get out, does it list the medial aid amounts paid? It lists my retirement annuities but nothing mentioned about medial aid, even though the detail is in the actual submission with the Discovery certificate.

Just wondering before I submit.
My ITA34 shows this on the very last page under NOTES

Check your Statement of Account today. I filed on Mon. 21st also, checked the ITSA yesterday no mention of payment. Today there is an entry 'electronic refund' dated 24th. So fingers crossed.
