Julius Malema really hates that fact that he missed out on the good revolutionary years, that is why he is always causing *** in the ANC with the old guys. But then I think that he would not have lasted a week-end in the back of a buckie in a trip to Pretoria.
 
Actually, I have a concern about Malema, SGL Engineering that I'm taking up to Engineering Council Ethics committee.

As far as I'm aware, nobody who is not a professional engineer is supposed to conduct any engineering work e.g. building of roads. I want Engineering Council to find out how the hell did SGL Engineering got given a tender without qualified competent persons. This is not just a Malema issue, its an issue of Engineering ethics which the Municipality did not follow.
 
Are they saying that Maelma has not paid 1c of tax? Excluding his tender income, considering he works for ANCYL/ANC would it not be their responsibility to deduct his taxes, like any 'normal' employer. If they did not...

In the new South Africa rules are not a hindrance - even wrt SARS !

It's just about personal gain !

But he draws a salary from ANC and ANCYL, so the employer is obliged to ensure that he is a registered taxpayer and deduct SITE and PAYE (this one has changed).

Depends on his salary level, he claims that he does not receive money in a personal capacity from the ANC so maybe he is not paid as an employee but it is hidden in other means ie: ANC-> ANCYL. There is not enough knowledge about how he is paid to determine. But I think it will be the provisional that will be his major downfall. And the onus is on you to register for Tax , not the company you work for.

I have also been wondering about this please let us know how it goes. AFAIK, his company did not even register for a permit to do public construction work.

Indeed. The whole issue of having engineering regulated by ECSA is professionalism and public safety. It really bothers me that a municipality would put our lives in danger by awarding a tender to a company that is not competent.

SGL have been awarded various tenders where they either act as contractors, engineers or project managers. They are not competent to do any of that. In fact, legally, I could sue millions out of a municipality if I got an accident on a road that was built by an incompetent person. In fact, I think I will write a letter to media about this issue.
 
I wonder how many calls, bribes and threats has been made sinse this has come out, but it will be swept under the carpet.
