SARS tax return refund turn around time

Could you please post the time it took from doing your tax return to receiving your refund? Especially if you had to submit supporting documents, or were selected for an audit.
 
I was selected for an audit last year and it took four days after my submission of supporting documents to get the return into my account.
 
It normally takes about 48 hrs.

One of two things is true then: You either gave them an incorrect bank account or you owe them. But seriously, I'd check it out.

SARS is extremely efficient

I submitted yesterday and I am due for a refund. Waiting to see how long it takes :)
 
Last year was around 24 hours.
Year before around 4 days.

This year, who knows?
Managed to do my return today (with lotsa hassles) and got the estimated they owe me a few seconds later.

Will get back when I have cash in the bank.
 
I forgot my username and password. Resetting it from the site only sends me my temp password. Calling the call centre is pointless, earlier I was number 347.

So I'll give it another shot next week
 
2 years ago I had to submit documents, got my refund after a month. Last year submitted docs and was then selected for a full audit - only got my refund after almost 8 months. This year I was "selected" again , submitted docs now will have to wait and see.

From my conversations with them Last year, if I remember correctly its 30 days turn around if you just need to submit for a check, but from there if its a full audit it can take up to a year

That's unusual. I'd query if I was you.

Suppose it depends on how "complex" your return is, ie income from investments, car allowances etc.

Last year I was selected for an audit. It took 2 months before getting my refund.

In 2011 it took 17 days.
 
Well last year I got it the very next morning. Submitted early today so I'm hoping for the same :)

No, I did get rebates in that/those accounts before. They seem to be very selective, sometime.

EDIT: I don't know on whose planet R6K is a small amount, but anyway?
 
Submitted monday evening. Just received my bonus...
