Anyone know how long the queues are at SARS Cape Town? Need to go in tomorrow :(

Was there on Monday. The place openned the doors at 06h30 due to the rain and started helping people at 07h30.

Regarding the queues, I got there just before 7 and I got a seat. Maybe about 70 to 80 people infront of me.

Also not sure about this 4116 thing.

According to info I received, SARS are having problems receiving IRP5 data from companies. You need to get your IRP5 from your company and enter the amount itself. I recommend requesting a correction and then enter the values on the right hand side at the 4116 code.

I got my refund in 2 days (submitted Thurs morning, refund in my account Sat morning). I didn't have to submit supporting documents this year.

Anyone have to update their bank details? Wondering how long after you get a refund.

I got my refund in 2days, even thought I changed my banking details. SARS now seems to have a system that verifies banking details, against the ones provided.

Did you have to go in though with all the documentation? (Proof of residence, bank stamped statements, certified id, etc.)

No I didn't have to submit anything, I just changed on my e-filing, then 2days later, the $$$ was in my account.

Last year submitted and refunded within 2 days. But I think this yr I'll need to submit docs (have an RA and car allowance now;-) so OT: What types of supporting docs are you submitting? RA certificate, medical aid certificate, logbook, etc? Do you need to join all together into one file or can you upload multiple docs?
