I was thinking the same thing. Cable breaks are unexpected. lol His comment is irrelevant.

My thoughts exactly, and from what cbrundoza said. How do you start maintenance on a break, surely the correct word should be repairs?

If you look at these stats, you can see the high latency kick in at the time mentioned above - but it seems there were plenty dropped packets before that... so maybe the main line was dropped to sort out errors!?

Could an email problem be related to this cable break?
Since this morning I am getting tons of undeliverable mail, I connect with Neotel or 3G and getting email errors with both when sending mail.

Is this somehow connected?

Thought this R29 deals is surely from Seacom, but the break is on the SAT3??
