I don't recall seeing rabbit meat in butcheries. Where can I source it?

I've been thinking from a long time ago, why don't they take dogs from the shelters as well. shelters are full...no one one older dogs. there is a huge overpopulation. Same as hunting, its managed. Animals in zoos etc can eat.

Rich stew is best, and there are lots of bones, which makes it ideal for broiling.

Definitely never heard of some one roasting / braaing rabbit. Always in a stew / pie type dish. Lots of bones which are weirdly flat BTW. Tastes delicious. Some speciality butcheries might stock but otherwise find some one who is breeding rabbits for meat.

Another interesting fact about rabbits is that their droppings are the only manure you can put directly on plants without having to decompose it first.

In south america guinea pigs are quite the thing.

A bit of trivia, the capybara, which is the largest rodent, was classed as a fish by the Catholic church.
Apparently the missionaries were scared there was going to be a riot if they told the locals that they were not allowed to eat red meat during some fasting period, so the church in their "wisdom" stated that because it spent a lot of its time in the water it can be classed as a fish.
