SAWireless - Installation & Usage

Note

If you've got the money why not its better that giving it to the govermant at least youre getting something for it

Just wanna add: Its not GWI themselfs thats going mad with the prices it the resellers and contracters that does the final istallation and supply of the equipment.

Also i bought my equipment myself and did the installation myself all they had to do was line up the antenna abd give me my connection details. that costed me 180 excl vat for 1 hour labour and 350 for the first months connection.

Saved alot

lol, dude that dont make sense at all. Where do u think wisps get their internet from? Welcome to the real world, a wisp gets its internet from the same place you get adsl from.

Must agree with Kloon on just about every point.

I paid R1500 for installation and equipment.

I pay R300 for an uncapped 64k connection.

IMO wireless is a wate of money. I would not recommend it.

From everything i've heard about WISP's I really cannot even see this being an option for me. For now i'll have to stick with ADSL as it seems to be the best option ... for now.

True ... maybe it's a scam and when he saw this thread he decided to skip me :D In that case I guess I should consider myself lucky :D

You guys were right about wisps. I haven't found one wisp that is worth while signing up with. I hate telkom, but adsl rulez!

If i knew what i know now i would have stayed with my DSL connection......... Thats all i can say :(

What is stopping you from going back to ADSL? Hanging in there till something better comes along?

On sawireless.co.za, the links with affiliates seem to be mostly dead links and under construction...suspicious, suffice to say that the Tehnilink.co.za is infact owned by the individual stated as CEO Bertus Louw, with webmaster Wife Louw etc.

With virtually no information on it. http://www.technilink.co.za/

Credit Direct seems to be nothing more than a website with links to Outsurance etc.

Most of the links on the website is dead or inactive with regards to the Tower locations, the Branches, the Forum, the news section etc. Mostly you can only access the information which is limited ie price list, and the "new towers up" news link as well as the "webmail login". Other than that, there's nothing.

I think the best solution is to rather find out about these individuals and their legality via the proper authorities.
