Screamer ADSL

Hi

Cable damage this morning but will have service up and running in about 20 mins
 
WTF just happened there? my connection was down for over an hour and it just came on now. i was 1st in line about 4 times on the phone to technical support and they just kept cutting me off! this is getting really ridiculous now...
Howzit in future can you please send emails or text messages to us before you perform any maintenance or in the event of an "emergency cable break" and let us know of any possible downtime so we know what is going on! is that too much to ask???
 
Well its 13:39, I can hardly keep my connection without everything timing out like browsing, online game etc. I am getting fed up with Screamer at the moment. You guys better get your ass into gear!
 
Mine is dead again. Anyone else?

Edit: back to normal. winpCap was the issue...

Anyone got a decent bandwidth monitor besides "Simple internet monitor" and "Netlimiter"?

The Internet is back now but still not managing more than 10kb like the whole week.
 
ull speed my side... like, 30kb on torrents + browsing. which is a bit slow but hey...

my connection is just brilliant.
crawling at 6KB/s - battled to post this message.

on the downloads front, for the past hour I have done 50Mb in 50mins. Compared to the +- 130mb/hr I was getting last month (with Screamer) this leaves me speechless.

like some of the others I called the tech help desk as well today - got the message I am 5th in line - and then 5 mins later - I am 1st in line. Then it disconnected me cos there was no space left to take messages.

what gives?
 
Well, now you know what i was going through... it's frustrating to say the least. but hey, now it's my turn for some bandwidth :D was connected the entire night, got about 600mb give or take a bit...

Having exactly the same issues you are. Its just impossible to do anything on this quality line.....

what's going on with the speeds?? internet is VERY slow, cant browse or download anything. anyone know what's up?
 
howzit, your very first post on the forum said something like "I decided to create this forum so we could efficiently update our customers... bla bla bla"
well to be honest you haven't been "efficiently updating us".
every time you comment you either tell us there's been a "cable break" or you say "maintenance has been completed and all lines should be running at full speed" and they aren't!
YOU need to get your act together and keep us up to date on what is really happening. you told us we would get our public IP's by the end of December 2009. its now February 2010 and we are still waiting. stop lying to us and be honest for once

sums up Feb for me now.
just when you think its stable it dies on you. I am spending money with Afrihost when I shouldnt be.

4.7kbs - uncapped dialup :p Sure I had that in the 90's...

Things were working ok, pity its all gone to the dogs... Was just getting my hopes up.
