ok now I know why they called screamer.
cause the client screams.
finally after 3 days of endless phoning and bugging I managed to connect to the net with my username and password, but thats when the fun only starts.
Cause 8 years ago when I was still on dial up was faster than the screamer 384 uncapped dsl account. Ive downloaded a whopping 160KB in 25 minutes.
So seems Im back to square one.

you should wait till the problems get sorted out which will be next week sometime

It is sad when the consumer has to pay while an ISP sorts out there teething problems...he should be reimbursed, or a minimum speed should be guaranteed....

I signed up the other day but have yet to connect at all it keeps rejecting my username and password. Spent an hour on the phone yesterday trying to sort it out with resseting password but no joy. I have requested my account be cancelled even before it has started but lets see if I get a response? .:(:mad:

lol, and for the peeps who want to use it now? screamer accepted payment NOW?

I think it's bs having to pay for a service and it's still in it's aplha stages.

They should refund all the money for people who can't use the service. I almost bought an account yesterday thank goodness I saw these threads!!!!

Its sad, we all thought our problems would be sorted out when we were with Sentech.... the same happened with iBurst... and eventually Seacom... and now we place our hopes and dreams on the new bandwidth cable as well.

If a company can't release a service that works from day 1 (as advertised) then that company doesn't deserve the chance to "get it right" because there's hundreds of other companies world wide they could have learned from.

But that's the mentality of wireless companies, jump in with both feet, then act surprised when people want your service (because you over promised thinking you'll only get 10 clients) and then under deliver to hundreds of clients while it takes you months upon months to solve the issue at hand.

Which is bandwidth. Which they don't have.
