Screamer WiMax

I agree 1000% Alot of work is needed for customer service

Will post a picture of the new pole and dish they installed, as it looks similar but is different from wimax equipment.
But sofar so good :D

Did they not remove the Wimax CPE? and is that the tv areal next to it? :D

Does not look like it. But to be honest, I do not really care. And I am scared if I ask them, they would want to remove it and screw up my connection :p

Had a couple of good games last night :)

I have the same changed from wimax to wifi.. Grid seems the same.. Connection and ping is 70% of the better than wimax.. but when its on a bad day its really slow... The think that looks like the wimax is not.. its the box to connect the wifi connections etc...

Didn't have one of those days yet. But I'm wifi for less than a week.
I did however notice that I get disconnected at midnight for a few minutes and then it's back as usual

I am getting alot of bad packet loss on Screamer lately, its very annoying. I am not happy at all.

I see Howzit has been silent in this thread for a long time now....

I have huge issues with Screamer right now. My Screamer email has been known to take two and a half days to reach its destination, and usually takes more than 10 hours. That's ridiculous. I could walk faster than that.

Also, we've been experiencing speeds falling to dial-up or complete non-service, especially over the weekends - and no word from Screamer to warn us. My partner has actually lost money due to this non-performance of delivery.

So, now, I'm looking around for a new service provider. Which is such a pity, as Screamer have behaved impeccably in the billing department, so unlike iBurst who screwed up royally over and over again - and not just with us, as iBurst have got perhaps the worst name in the business when it comes to billing.

I'll have to go with a WiMax or WiFi service, so anyone know of a good one servicing the Northern/Northwestern part of Joburg?
