Huge frigging improvement!!!!!

2 days ago I started getting lag spikes on 25 man runs in WOW and thought "Oh no, don't tell me they have changed something again"

I then checked my system and noticed that because the connection had been running so well I had not closed any of the mail and download apps I used to close before playing WOW and ....wait for it... I had run out of memory :)

I upgraded my memory to 4Gigs yesterday and now play WOW, download and receive mail at the same time and no probs on the Screamer connection.

I believe now I have also have a free static public IP address?? What can I do with this?

Nice double posting is apparently what you can do with that new "Static IP " ...
 
Weekend of raiding was awsome. no drop. good latency had hardly any lag spikes.
hmm lets hope stays this way for this week to....
 
i wish they'd send out a global sms or email when it dies like that. I hate not knowing whether its my pc, my router, the cat 5 cable, the cpe, the tower or seacom...
 
Dunno when it came back, but it's working very nicely.

I received an sms when it went down and when it came back online. :/

Also still working really well with gaming/latency.
 
Kudo's to Screamer. Things are working very well at the moment.
 
Why connection has been super crap the past two days. What the hell is going on? They were supposed to "fix" the Potchefstroom network today but nothing happened

The connection was down as they said it would be, but I also don't notice any improvement yet (Potch)

I also didn't receive notification of the upgrades now that i think about it, maybe screamer hasn't got my details captured...

Howzit - how can i update my details?

Screamer don't even opperate that network from what I've read.

Lol why do you think that? The Screamer adverts are placed all over. Don't know how their system works though...
 
Screamer vs IBurst Wimax

Hello All.

Can anybody give some feedback on whether to choose Screamer or Iburst? Screamer seems to be much more cost effective compared to Iburst, but there seems to be reliability and speed issues with Screamer when reading this forum.

I cannot really find much info on Iburst WIMAX so not sure if thats a good thing or not?

I live in an area where DSL lines are stolen and Telkom are no longer replacing them and 3G connectivity is not very good. My options are now WIMAX or Satellite. Any guidance would be appreciated.
