Screamer WiMax

I can't believe that after having Screamer for almost 2 years and having regular outages, problems and so called upgrades on the network that we can still have so many regular evenings of utter #$%^ internet access.
MAN I miss my Telkom days!!!!

Hi Mig

We have very few clients who have a problem with their WOW connection and we would like to send one of our WOW specialists to your house to check out your whole setup to see if we can identify the problem.

Been good for me for last few months. I did notice latency is up by 100ms tonight, any ideas?

Latency is abit unstable tonight, jumping around, effecting all of my online applications.

weird download speeds.
i have the 384k uncapped account.
decided to download the PTR client for Patch 4.01 for wow.
so i leave it running for about an hour or so. and i come back and lo and behold i am downloading at 120KB/s
i thought that this must have been a bug or something. so i powerd down all my equipment to reset connections etc.
started the download and back it went jumping between 50kb/s and 120kb/s

am i missing something here ?
i have email support a screenshot to show them.

Please let me know if support doesn't come back with an answer.

Hmm

Strage thing. I used to get dcd every morning, at exactly 02:00 am. Wasnt such a big problem cause im not really doing much at that time. From yesterday, im getting dcd every xx.53 of every hour. Thats annoying.... Any idea whats wrong ?

Latency is high and connection unstable, what changed 4 days ago?

strange, my latency is perfect. I have no problems at all playing SC2 and downloading.

We'll check out your connection

Got a call from one of the techs on 2009-09-11 who said he would look into the issues for me. Unfortunately ( or fortunately? hehe) I ended up in the Berg on the 12th and missed his calls during the week.
Finally at home again, all seems good, managed to keep my wow connection up for more than an hour now with no issues, web sites are responsive (load first time, every time).

Thanks Guys

Same , its not just the jump in latency ; the packet loss is ridiculous and causes the most frustration.

I reiterate my previous post.

MAN I miss my Telkom days!!!!

The fact that we receive a text message stating that "We're experiencing a problem with our upstream provider" doesn't make it ok. In fact, this particular issue occurs SO often that I would think Screamer would have come up with a plan to prevent this in the future???
