Group Head of IP Strategy – Liquid Telecommunicati
Hi All,
(Apologies for the cross post, I posted this in another thread, but I figured it good to post it here where people would more easily see it, so people know whats going on)
We have had confirmation that SEACOM is currently offline and will be for a good few days, due to a failure in the TE-NORTH cable (by their emails, read, undersea fault). According to their communications it will take approximately a week to repair once permits are granted, which are expected to take 5 days. I.E SEACOM will be offline for possibly 10 days or more.
From the TENET perspective, we have DR bandwidth which so far is handling fine, though I suspect there will be many ISP's suffering rather badly during this period.
Thanks
Andrew
