Telkom's still harping on about how inline their prices are!... *g*
...and I doubt it will stop anytime soon![]()
Don't worry! Even Telkom will come to the party before the end of the year!![]()
I don't know why you think that you are going to get price cuts *now* when the cable hasn't officially been activated yet.
Let's be realistic - we live in a capitalist SOCIETY.
To me that means unless our authorities are riding this thing, making sure that competition and lower prices are introduced, the capitalists won't see any reason to not make as much by offering the minimum.
The cable is pretty ineffective without someone cracking a whip - unfortunately the whip wasn't included in the bling upgrades to his 2 new BMW 750i's.
We'll suffer until the authorities decide to pull out their fingers & smell the fresh morning breeze.
"Question Authority, and the authorities will question you." :erm:
Don't expect drastic price changes until new infrastructure is completely paid for.

Drastic, no. But there will be some nice mid-level changes before the end of this year!![]()
Drastic (as I was thinking of it) would mean anything over 10%.
Drastic to me would be anything over 50%.
I'm talking more about 30%.![]()
Then like SAA, SABC, blah blah blah, they will get a handout from the ANC and get our cash that way. With the governments +-37% in Telkom, do you think they are shaking in their boots?Once everybody else starts undercutting Telkom and not directly using SAIX for their needs, and Telkom starts seeing a decline in customers, then they'll have no choice!
