So I got my ADSL all sorted, using a Netgear DGN2000. Reception throughout the house is not that great, so I want to set up my old Router and AP through WDS, so we can get better signal through the house.

Which MAC address am I supposed to use from the client AP, the wireless MAC address or the LAN MAC address?

Wireless mac address.

Also the older routers only support WEP encryption when using WDS.

Wireless MAC...
Let's use the following simple example:
Say you have 3 AP's:
AP 1 <-> AP 2<-> AP3
Let's say they all have range to each other, but AP2 is in the middle of the house and the other two have good reception to it.
AP1 will have AP2's wireless MAC in its list, and so will AP3.
AP2 will have both AP1 and AP3's wireless mac in its connect list.

If you're using DD-WRT, then make sure its set to 'LAN' mode for each MAC, not Point-to-Point or Disabled.

Hope that clears it up =)
