He did include a question mark indicating that he isn't sure, are you English incapable of interpreting punctuation marks, because then your posts would make more sense.

And for the record he wasn't too far off : OPC = Opel Performance Centre and GTC = Gran Turismo Compact/Coupe.

Sounds about right considering how much its competition is going for these days. Good grief, how do people afford these cars? R500k for the Golf R still blows my mind. It's a Golf for heaven's sake!

Has anyone seen the pricing on the Subaru BRZ :wtf: 24,995 Pounds. It's really not bad!!! Now there is a car i'd trade my left ball and 3 kids in for!!! That car will be one of the MOST fun cars to drive to date i reckon! Not too much power, but enough to have alot of fun with!

yeah its a joke, i mean, a golf used to be the cheap nasty run around.
I felt guilty spending 165k on my car, i cant imagine spending that much for a golf or opel.

Its also getting damn close to subaru wrx territory

/EDIT, anyone else read about subaru possibly employing "electric turbo" tech? soudns cool!

Yea that gets me everytime! And to be honest, that Golf R isn't even sexy! The GTi looks hotter than the bloody R! There's just NOTHING on it that screams or even whispers, "I'm a HOT hatch!"

What really bothers me though, is just how much of these R300K + cars we see driving around on our roads. That is, what, R5000 - R7000 installments ?

R300k I sort of understand. People finance it via their bonds. Hell, I'm 26 tomorrow (Hah, almost forgot), and I've been thinking of picking up a low mileage 125i. It would be a bit wasteful so I've been thinking of a Golf TSI or even the Audi A1 1.4TSI, though I'm not serious about that one, which can be found for a bit over R200k. I see plenty of Golf R's in this neck of the woods though, which is just crazy.
