Please be advised that any participation in the facebook site (www.facebook.com) is a waste of company resources. Any usage deemed as inappropriate and not aligned with the intent of our policies will be subjected to disciplinary hearings.

All electronic data stored on company resources is the property of the company and personnel should not expect privacy in their use of company resources.
The Company reserves the right to conduct inspections or audits of its computer resources and similar assets and to monitor or access the contents of e-mail, internet logs and all other electronic communications and files to identify non-compliance with Company Policies.
Personal use of company resources must be incidental to the individual's work day, be of reasonable duration and frequency, and must not interfere or affect the person's job performance.

Just browsing our ISA Server logs, Facebook is in the top 10 of sites, 2GB for July.
Not as much as News24 though, 16GB for July!
Talk about BOFHs...short man syndrome, all of you?![]()
The problem is all the banners and external links on that website.Time to use a transparent proxy to cache all those websites don't you think. I reckon it will shave 12GB off your News24 usage alone.
Of course, the real question then is all the sysadmin's here who have blocked it - does that block apply to you as well?
This narrow-minded thinking is a bit too prevalent for my liking.
mind if I substitute spouse for employees and husband for company and send it to my missus? On a related note, here's a mail my company sent out:
