*dusts off thread* ........ let's get this show back on the road :D

Bulls game on Saturday ..... thoughts? My take - it'll be another dirty, bullying type of game from the Bulls (what's new) but hopefully we'll have a ref who will take charge. Sharks will have too much pizzazz and I reckon will pip the Bulls by no more than 8.

so did I call this fscker or what :D:D:D

Yeah, hats off to the Sharks although if Steyn(Morne) could kick the ball we would be in allot of trouble now :S He missed 6 kicks I think.

I'm glad in a way that ST didn't get the MOM though ...... he might just get complacent again ;) Massive step up from him though .... was playing like he did in his heyday :D

although a good game on sat KD is too short for bok lineout

I wouldnt want him wasted at lock. Flank for him - he is a very good ball carrier and awesome at the breakdown - he shows 100% commitment. But we do have significant depth in selection for our loose forwards which is fantastic.

well duh, but how do you explain KD being used effectively in the lineouts then? AFAIK he's even poached a few from the 'taller' opponents.

in fact Kankowski has even more skill when he gets back-althou i would have them both in my 22

Ah, another one who agree with me :D Pity the selectors don't agree (yet) ... coz those 2 in the same Springbok setup would be killer.

Actually KD would be perfect at the back of the lineout as he is light enough to be easily lifted. He is the epitome of the modern day flanker along with Botes, they run and handle like backs and that was the difference between the bulls and sharks on saturday... Bulls loosies not quick enough IMO playing under the new laws...

But as DJK accurately pointed out, SA has an embarrassing wealth of world class loose forwards...

would be a good thing IMO to bring back proper trials ..... at least then the guys who show their mettle can be picked. (eg - Twatson will be totally outplayed by his opposition and therefore make it very hard for the selectors to pick him ;))
