Anyway, I find my car works the best with Shell unleaded 93, when i fill up with other brands in my area I seem to get less kilometres per tank...

I've found that I get better fuel consumption on 95 than 93, 30-40km more per tank.
So for R15 more per tank, I drive a lot further. (I drive a Corsa lite, used to get 9.5km/l now get 11.5km/l)

I was hoping that the fuel consumption would improve with the higher octane, that's why I wanted 97.
Higher octane fuel doesn't make your car go faster, perform better etc (Although I get better fuel consumption). All it does is help prevent pinging and engine knocking because it can be compressed more before detonation.

I'm basically looking after my car's old engine.

93 fuel actually has more latent potential energy than 95, so therefore you should get better consumption assuming your engine isn't retarding the crap out of the timing and blowing all the energy out the exhaust.

I think the problem here is that it is an Opel Corsa. Their engines perform well but guzzle fuel. The timing on the car is perfect, I know, I did it myself.
 
Only been using 95 octane in my Sandero since I got it... And shell definitely gives the best consumption with the new engen 95 second. Unfortunately no on board comp. Interested in what this new nitro can do.
 
I filled up this AM before heading off to Rustenburg. I am used to getting around 1000 kms on a full tank on the open road. Been using their previous V-Power and did not notice any difference in consumption today.

I did notice she was a little zippier, but that probably just placebo effect. Will give it a little more time before I judge.
 
Got me a tank of Nitro+ this morning, my poor tyres, definite improvement in performance, will monitor it by the 3rd and 4th tank.
 
I've been doubtful about performance increases.. but i must admit my car feels more like it use to in cpt. waiting to see what the fuel consumption is like tho
 
Can anyone with an on board computer comment on consumption?

Unless you guys provide decent dyno figures I remain sceptical, probably more like a placebo. Whatever marginal boost it might provide I doubt you would feel it.

Throttle response in the lower revs is definitely changed.
