Shooting at East Gate, JHB. Taxi associations are having a cleansing ceremony for taxi drivers who were killed earlier this week.. Please avoid when in area.

Dishcarging firearms in the middle of a public space with police present. My brother works nearby and thought it was a massive shootout.

This place becomes more of a joke every day. Inmates run the asylum.

Apparently there was a shootout in Melrose today. 5 people arrested. Haven’t seen any articles on that.

Any officer from JMPD or SAPS who was in the area, and didn't identify and arrest the perpetrators should be disciplined really...

Granted i know that it will never happen, but residents in the area must put pressure on Law Enforcement to enforce the laws ffs.

its across the road from their barracks, id imagine if there was shooting outside their gates they at least take a look,

but here? were probably gouging themselves at McDonald till their uniform wont close.

Take a look in what sense. Maybe they peered over the wall. Maybe those not in uniform went to investigate.

I can imagine the comments here had they tried to intervene. Rather stick to the law and wait for instructions.

Hey maybe it was Lesotho invading us for a change

I don't know, if a civilian was to grab a gun from a soldier, eating at KFC,
Id imagine they wouldn't enjoy the experience. or am I wrong?

same here, a shooting just outside their barracks, Id imagine their would be at the very least a response
in this case, probably just looked on while gouging themselves with food.

anywhere else in the world, firing guns just outside a military base, is asking for trouble.

No one ducking for cover, no police reaction... seems fake.

Why would they run? It seems to be a common occurrence in the taxi industry. Fun and games.

Not sure if gang or taxi, but more fun with guns.
