what i wanna know is where the hell does he get the bandwidth to download 1080p movies when an average 720p movie is about 4.5gigs and 720p 40min series come in at 1.3gigs. come on keeper, who'd you sleep with at telkom?

I think it is quite obvious what keeper is saying. Its much easier to play pirate games and movies on a PC.

I'm pretty sure I got the same impression the last time I argued with Keeper. Makes sense as to why he is so militant about console game prices when he probably doesn't pay a cent for PC games.

Well, since this thread is completely derailed, I'll join in:

I have a 360, PS3 and Wii. I had to sell my PC to afford all those.

Now with all the kickass PC games coming out (Dragon Age, Starcraft, Diablo III, Left 4 Dead [Yeah, it's on 360 as well, but PC just pwns FPS games]) I need a PC again! Guess I have to start saving up.

You were robbed. It's not a 1080p projector and you won't notice the difference between 720p and 1080p content because the native resolution is 1024x768...it's not even a 16:9 resolution.

i don't own a projector, i got an lcd, so i'm not really sure about the resolutions, just making a point.

the 1080p projectors are insanely priced though, R20,000 wouldn't even be enough!

Projector prices really dropped the last year. You'll be surprised at what you can get for R20K or just a tad more nowadays.

IIRC 1080p projectors are not anywhere near 20G's.... but I stand corrected.
 
not bad IMO. but i'd rather make one with a tri-projector(school?) and a 19" LCD....much cheaper...

This guy is just bummed because he can't watch his 1080 porn and play Spider Solitaire at the same time on a console. Let him have his PC, because we all have one. What he is actually saying is 'I have a PC and you only have a PC and an Xbox'.
