Downloaded tv series > DSTV
I choose what I want to watch and not what dstv decides I should have the privilege of watching.

yep. my Television viewing comes from a PC, filled with everything i need, pumped with HD Quality.
I don't have time for loud adverts and crap. also don't have to wait a year to watch a new episode either.
I just like being ahead of the curve...
only thing is, I have to get my news/info on the world through the internet, as I have no SABC news or anything, but it's all good.
Ever considered a TV card? LOL

My 2c: I prefer PC, but maintaining a high-end PC is too expensive. I'd like to get an Xbox soon. NO further comment.

Well, diff'rent platforms for diff'rent purp'ses. Besides, I very rarely play games anymore - I grew up.

I do the same with my crappy 4 year old P4 acting as a media server and streaming media to my Xbox. Enjoy watching your shows at a desk?

lol, P4 can't play blu-ray. well...not properly.
When I say I watch my stuff in HD, i mean HD, as in 1080P.

Maybe not but it can certainly stream 720P quite well. So how noticeable to your eye is the difference between 1080P and 720P?

Well yeah. No changing discs, no disc read errors. Just double click and it plays. Leaning back in chair that I can sleep in.
Just get a decent comfy chair.
look, i'm not saying 720p is crap, but it's not like 1080p, which is perfect.
but yes, lets not argue over that. at least you're streaming, even if at 720p.

I'm a PC gamer and was so close to buying an Xbox last year. Ran into some fanacial problems. Now unfortunately the prices are just too much for me. It won't make any sence to buy just to play the exclusives I wanted to (GOW2 etc).
But the rand/dollar is slowly getting stronger so there's hope, but to be honest....... I think I'm gonna wait till Xbox 720. or whatever they gonna call it.
